biglaundry.co is my space of the internet.

i'm exhausted from social media but also feel a need to share into the void. on this site i feel more comfortable, maybe because there are no followers, metrics, etc.

this idea started because i decided to declutter one day and I realized I had over 50 pairs of shoes I wouldn't mind parting with. I started cataloguing everything and preparing to start selling, but realized I'd like to be a bit more thoughtful in how I move objects in and out of my possession.

every purchase started with a feeling, whether real or instantly turned to regret. I think it would be nice to try and share thoughts on these items, no matter how uninformed, tasteful/less, etc. and while I'm at it, might as well share thoughts in general like how blogs used to be. some entries are detailed and some are just a few photos and a note.

I want to try and share my opinion without trying to be an influencer. I'd like to be into sneakers without being into sneakers. Or be into menswear without becoming an archive/catalogue. trying to have opinions without seeking universal truth, which is hard when all information is available at once.

maybe this site will only exist while i'm just selling my collection. either way i'm excited about it right now so that's something.
